4-Hydroxy-7-methoxy-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3(4H)-one (BMX) is a drug that has been shown to inhibit autoimmune diseases by blocking the production of peroxides. BMX inhibits the production of monoclonal antibodies, which are needed for the activation of complement and cell lysis. It also suppresses the immune system by inhibiting the proliferation of T cells and B cells. BMX can be used as an immunosuppressant in humans because it prevents antibody formation and suppresses inflammation.
