Ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate is a reactive monomer that is used in vivo as a radiation-curable coating. It is a film-forming polymer that reacts with water vapor to form a protective, cross-linked polymer film on surfaces. Ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate has been shown to be effective in wastewater treatment by removing metal hydroxides and water vapor from the wastewater effluent. This polymer also shows high resistance to detergents and fatty acids, making it an excellent choice for surface coatings that are exposed to light and air. When mixed with acrylates, ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate can be used to create polymeric particles.
