Chroman-2-carbaldehyde is a strong corrosion inhibitor that exhibits high activity and selectivity. It can be used to protect different metals, including aluminium and zirconium oxide. Chroman-2-carbaldehyde can also be used as an actuator for the production of fatty acids from ternary complexes with fatty acid chlorides and aluminium. This product is useful in coatings for the prevention of heart disease, as well as in the manufacturing of solid oral medicines.
