Product Information
Tetrakis(diethylamino)vanadium(IV) is a pentavalent ligand that is volatile and can be used for the reduction of alkoxides to alcohols. Tetrakis(diethylamino)vanadium(IV) has been shown to reduce benzene to phenol, as well as other aliphatic and aromatic compounds. Tetrakis(diethylamino)vanadium(IV) is also an inorganic molecule with a spin resonance spectrum. It can be formulated into a solid or liquid form and has been shown to be effective when mixed with alkoxides. The electron spin resonance spectrum of tetrakis(diethylamino) vanadium (IV) shows four peaks at 5.0, 4.2, 3.1, and 2.3 ppm, which correspond to the electron spins of V-O-V bonds.
