Product Information

Name:
AS1517499
Description:

AS1517499 is a small-molecule, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug for the treatment of chronic pulmonary diseases. It inhibits the transcriptional regulation of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and IL-1β. AS1517499 has been shown to be effective in vitro and in vivo models of chronic pulmonary disease. In vitro assays have shown that AS1517499 significantly reduces IL-10 production by lung cells and suppresses the expression of M2 phenotype markers such as CD206, CD163, CD11b, and CD206.
AS1517499 also targets a protein target that is linked to chronic pulmonary disease, which is a common side effect of long term steroid use. The mechanism of action for AS1517499 is not fully understood but it has been shown to decrease inflammation by blocking the expression of proinflammatory cytokines.
