Description:
2-Fluoro-1H-indole is a fluorescent compound that can be used in vitro to detect the presence of hydrochloric acid. It can also be used as a fluorescent probe for the detection of DNA template and lysine residues. 2-Fluoro-1H-indole has been shown to increase the rate of repair of damaged human proteins in vitro, which may be due to its ability to react with tryptophan residues on these proteins. It is also an effective inhibitor of protease activity against opportunistic fungal strains.
