Elx-02 is a peptide that is used as a research tool for studying ion channels. Elx-02 activates the A type voltage-gated calcium channel and inhibits the N type voltage-gated sodium channel. It has been shown to bind to many different proteins, including receptors and ligands. Elx-02 disulfate has also been shown to inhibit protein interactions, such as between G proteins and phospholipase C.
