Ethyl 2-amino-3-cyclobutylpropanoate is a synthetic compound that is an inhibitor of the enzyme connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) and a synthesis reagent. It has been used as a starting material for the synthesis of boceprevir, chloroacetate, and 3-aminocyclobutane carboxylic acid. The CTGF inhibition activity of ethyl 2-amino-3-cyclobutylpropanoate was confirmed by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells in vitro. This product is a useful tool for organic synthesis.
