Cdk1/2 Inhibitor II, NU6102 is a potent inhibitor of CDK1 and CDK2 that blocks the activity of these enzymes by binding to them in the ATP-binding site. It has been shown to inhibit transcriptional regulation and cell cycle progression in the G1 phase. This drug also inhibits receptor activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit intracellular signaling pathways that regulate cell proliferation.
Cdk1/2 Inhibitor II, NU6102 binds to the ATP-binding site of CDK1 and CDK2 with high affinity and specificity. The enzyme's active conformation is disrupted as a result of this binding, leading to an irreversible inhibition of its enzymatic activity. When these enzymes are inhibited, they cannot bind to or phosphorylate their substrates (e.g., cyclin E). This inhibition prevents cells from progressing through mitosis and entering the S phase, thereby preventing DNA replication from occurring
