Product Information

Name:
N-Butyl 4-chloropicolinamide
Description:

N-Butyl 4-chloropicolinamide is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that has been shown to have significant inhibitory activities against tumor cells in vitro. This compound is a selective inhibitor of phosphorylation of the VEGFR2 receptor tyrosine kinase, which blocks the downstream signaling pathway and prevents the proliferation of cancer cells. N-Butyl 4-chloropicolinamide has also been shown to inhibit angiogenesis, which is a process by which new blood vessels form from pre-existing ones. It does this by inhibiting the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptors on endothelial cells and downregulating the activity of protein tyrosine kinases such as Src, c-Kit, and PDGFRα.
