Product Information

Name:
Anthracene-2,6-diyl Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonate)
Description:

Anthracene-2,6-diyl Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonate) is a fluorescent dye that has been used to study the interaction between anthracene and trimethoxysilane. This compound emits light when excited with UV or visible light. It also exhibits fluorescence emission in the presence of oxygen. Anthracene-2,6-diyl Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonate) may be used as a component of an optical system for the detection and identification of explosives. The quantum yield of anthracene-2,6-diyl Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonate) is dependent on the environment in which it is placed. When exposed to an intramolecular environment, the quantum yield decreases by 50%.
