Product Information
4-Methoxy-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-phenylaniline (4MPP) is a linker molecule that is used in polymer solar cells. It has a rigid conformation and exhibits strong photophysical properties, which are important for efficient energy conversion. 4MPP can be synthesized from commercially available starting materials and this process is both economical and environmentally friendly. The photovoltaic properties of 4MPP are dependent on the molecular structure and the transition metal ions present in the perovskite semiconductor. When used as a linker molecule, 4MPP can improve the thermal stability of polymer solar cells by linking polymeric chains together, which prevents them from dissociating during heat treatments. This linker molecule also has been shown to have optical properties that are useful for solar cell applications such as perovskite solar cells.
