It can be used to control the pH of the medium, and also acts as an extracellular matrix component. 6-Acrylamidohexanoic Acid has been shown to stimulate the growth of cardiac cells by promoting cellular adhesion, proliferation and migration. 6-Acrylamidohexanoic Acid can be used in regenerative medicine for tissue engineering and wound healing. It is also used in fluorescence techniques for the study of cell surface carbohydrates and growth factors.
