Description:
Cyclohexylamine hydroiodide is a glycol ether that is used as an organic solvent in metalworking and in the production of perovskite. Cyclohexylamine hydroiodide has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the reduction of dialkylamino groups to amines. This compound also has a high degree of fluidity, which makes it useful for use as a monocarboxylic acid or as a halogenating agent. Cyclohexylamine hydroiodide reacts with nitro compounds to form nitroso compounds, which are highly reactive and can be used to make other substances less soluble in water. It is also hydrophobic and alkoxycarbonyl.
