Product Information
- p-Anisicacid, 3-methyl-, methyl ester (7CI)
Methyl 4-methoxy-3-methylbenzoate is a potent inhibitor of serine/threonine kinases. It inhibits the activity of family members of the protein kinase, including LRRK2, which is associated with Parkinson's disease. This agent has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in arthritis models. Methyl 4-methoxy-3-methylbenzoate binds to the ATP site on the kinase enzyme and prevents it from binding to its substrate, preventing phosphorylation and subsequent activation of the enzyme.
