Product Information
3,4-Dihydro-2H-pyrano[3,2-b]pyridine is a synthetic ligand that binds to the chemokine receptor. It has been shown to inhibit HIV integrase and is being developed as an inhibitor of HIV infection. 3,4-Dihydro-2H-pyrano[3,2-b]pyridine is also being studied as a potential therapeutic agent for cancer and other illnesses. Its effects are similar to those of amines and chemokines. This agent has been shown to induce apoptosis in human cells in vitro by inhibiting protein synthesis. 3,4-Dihydro-2H-pyrano[3,2-b]pyridine has also shown antiinflammatory effects through its ability to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin 1β (IL1β) and tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα).
