Description:

Dimethoxy(methyl)(octadecyl)silane is an organic solvent that is used as a polymerization initiator in the production of polyurethanes. It has been shown to be lyophilic and surface active agent. The average particle diameter of this chemical is 0.5-1 microns, with a surface area of about 180 square meters per gram. Dimethoxy(methyl)(octadecyl)silane can also be used as a reactive diluent for reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). This chemical has nitrogen atoms that emit light when exposed to electron microscopy and an acid catalyst that helps it dissolve in hydrochloric acid.
