Description:
Ethyl 4-aminonaphthalene-1-carboxylate is an inhibitor of estersase, plasmin, thrombin and protease. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of kallikrein, trypsin, and phenylalanine hydroxylase. Ethyl 4-aminonaphthalene-1-carboxylate binds to these enzymes by covalent binding to the amino acid residues in their active sites. This binding prevents the enzyme from catalyzing its reaction and leads to inhibition of activities.
