Product Information
2-Hydroxy-3,4-dimethylpyridine (2HDP) is a fatty acid that has been shown to be an agonist of the 2-hydroxy-3,4-dimethylpyridine receptor. This receptor is found in the bladder and eye tissues and may play a role in inflammatory processes. 2HDP has been shown to inhibit lymphocytic leukemia cells. It also has been shown to have tumor suppressive activity against cancer cells and autoimmune diseases. 2HDP inhibits the HIV virus from entering into human cells by binding to the receptor protein of the virus's envelope, which prevents it from attaching to human host cells.
