Product Information
2-(2-(2-Chloroethoxy)ethoxy)acetic acid is a molecule that has been shown to inhibit the growth of hepatoma cells. It is conjugated to sulfide, which inhibits the uptake of 2-(2-(2-chloroethoxy)ethoxy)acetic acid by transporter proteins and reduces the production of dopamine. 2-(2-(2-Chloroethoxy)ethoxy)acetic acid also binds to dopaminergic receptors in the brain and increases dopamine uptake by hepatoma cells. This drug has been shown to be fluorescent and can be used as a marker for cancerous tissue, due to its high affinity with dopaminergic receptors in these cells.
