Description:
(R)-3-Amino-3-phenyl-1-propanol is a growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of epidermal cells. It binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor and may work by stimulating the production of other proteins, such as enzymes. (R)-3-Amino-3-phenyl-1-propanol has been shown to be effective in promoting the growth of human epidermal cells in culture. This compound also inhibits the activity of certain amine oxidases, which may account for its high potency and selectivity. The (S)-enantiomer does not show these effects, but it can be converted to the desired enantiomer with chiral chemistry techniques.
