Description:
1-Boc-2-methoxypiperidine is a carbon nucleophile that can react with 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds to form pyrrolidines. It is also an activated nucleophile that can react with enol ethers and cyclic ethers. 1-Boc-2-methoxypiperidine has been shown to produce vinyl ethers as well as olefins from oxocarbenium ions. This compound can be used in the production of polymers and in the synthesis of pharmaceutical products.
