Product Information
TRIM24 is a tumor-suppressor gene that is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation. TRIM24 can be suppressed by binding to its transcriptional regulator, BRD4, which is an E3 ubiquitin ligase. Binding to BRD4 leads to TRIM24 ubiquitination and degradation by the proteasome. The interaction between TRIM24 and BRD4 has been shown to be regulated by protein-protein interactions. This interaction also regulates the expression of target genes such as cyclin D1, c-myc, and Bcl-2 family proteins. TRIM24 has been shown to have anti-proliferative effects on cells in culture and may be useful for cancer therapy.
