Product Information
(-)-Psi reagent is an organic compound that contains a hydroxy group, a phosphate group, and a hydrogen sulfate group. It is synthesized by the reaction of phosphorus pentoxide with polyols such as glycerol or sorbitol. The structure of (-)-psi reagent can be determined by mass spectrometry, which shows that the molecule consists of four functional groups: two nucleophilic and two electrophilic. The (-)-psi reagent has been used to study phosphoenolpyruvate and hydrosilylation reactions in synthetic organic chemistry.
