Product Information

Name:
Benzyldi-1-adamantylphosphine
Synonyms:
  • Benzyl(Ditricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]Dec-1-Yl)Phosphane
  • Benzyldi-1-Adamantylphosphine
Description:

Benzyldi-1-adamantylphosphine (BDPP) is a ligand that is used in organic synthesis. It is used as a cross-coupling reagent to form carbon-carbon bonds by the coupling of two organic molecules. BDPP also has the ability to catalyze the desymmetrization and stereoselective cross-coupling reactions. The magnesium salt of BDPP is most commonly used for these reactions, but other salts such as copper(I) chloride can be used. The hydrophobic nature of this compound allows it to be soluble in organic solvents, which makes it easy to use for these reactions.
