Product Information
N-[(9H-Fluoren-9-ylmethoxy)carbonyl]-N-methyl-D-tryptophan is a peptide that was designed to be used as an activator of ion channels. It has been shown to activate voltage gated sodium channels and potassium channels, but it does not activate calcium or chloride channels. N-[(9H-Fluoren-9-ylmethoxy)carbonyl]-N-methyl-D-tryptophan also binds to the receptor sites on cells, which leads to changes in cellular metabolism and protein interactions. In addition, it can inhibit the binding of ligands and receptors by competing with them for binding sites.
