It has been shown to bind to proteins such as the receptor for the peptide growth hormone releasing factor (GRF) and the acetylcholine receptor. M-PEG24-NHS ester can also be used to inhibit ion channels such as those in the brain, heart, and muscle cells. This allows for a wide range of applications in pharmacology, cell biology research and antibody production.
