4,7,10,13,16-Pentaoxanonadec-18-ynoic acid is a red fluorescent compound that has antibacterial activity. It forms a maleate salt and is conjugated to vitamin B12. 4,7,10,13,16-Pentaoxanonadec-18-ynoic acid is soluble in water and the pH of its solution can be adjusted using buffer solutions.
