4,6-Benzylidene-4-nitrophenyl-alpha-D-maltoheptaoside is a fluorogenic substrate used in the detection of alpha amylase. It reacts with alpha amylase to produce light, and can be detected by measuring the increase in light emission over time. 4,6-Benzylidene-4-nitrophenyl-alpha-D-maltoheptaoside is an excellent substrate for use in both enzymatic assays and chemiluminescence assays. It can be conjugated to antibodies or other proteins and is stable in culture media at high pH. This product has been shown to produce a signal that is proportional to the concentration of alpha amylase. The enzyme substrate comes in high purity and high quality, with a ligand that has been shown to have good binding affinity.
