Description:
Barium sulfide is a potential drug for the treatment of infectious diseases. It is a biocompatible polymer with antibacterial efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Barium sulfide has been shown to be effective in the treatment of experimental colitis in mice. The dry weight of BaS is 0.5g/cm3 and its optical properties are dependent on the wavelength and polarization of light.
