Description

Agrimonolide is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of fructo-oligosaccharides. It has been shown to have antiproliferative effects on cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Agrimonolide inhibits the growth of tumor cells by targeting specific cell types, such as bv2 microglial cells and h9c2 cells. It also induces apoptosis in cervical cancer and chronic prostatitis cell lines. The mechanism of action for agrimonolide involves oxidative DNA damage, which leads to mitochondrial membrane potential collapse and subsequent cell death.
