Product Information
VcMMAE is a monoclonal antibody that acts by binding to the extracellular domain of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and blocking its interaction with the ligands, thereby inhibiting cellular proliferation. The antibody drug conjugate has been shown to have minimal toxicity in mice. VcMMAE targets cancer cells that express EGFR, and does not bind to normal cells because they do not express EGFR. VcMMAE can be used for diagnostic purposes as it binds to both malignant and benign tissue samples.
