5-Nitroisoindoline is an anti-platelet drug that belongs to the group of nitro compounds. The 5-nitroisoindoline derivative hydroxy derivative epoxy ring-opening reaction with a ring-opened intramolecular high potency affinity methoxy and furan, has been shown to inhibit platelet aggregation. The nitro compound also inhibits fibrinogen synthesis and promotes the dissolution of blood clots. 5-Nitroisoindoline may be used for the treatment of myocardial infarction, stroke, and thrombotic diseases.
