Product Information
3,4-Dihydroxy-5-fluorobenzaldehyde (3,4-DHFB) is a cytoprotective agent that can be used as an antioxidant. It inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species and prevents lipid peroxidation. 3,4-DHFB has shown cytoprotection in human umbilical vein endothelial cells against oxidative stress induced by hydrogen peroxide. This agent also protects against apoptosis and necrosis caused by oxidative stress. 3,4-DHFB also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
