This compound induces apoptosis in cancer cells and has been found in urine samples from patients with various types of cancer. In Chinese hamster ovary cells, this compound was found to be a potent inhibitor of CDK1/cyclin B and CDK2/cyclin A, resulting in G2/M phase arrest. This suggests its potential as an anticancer drug for the treatment of various types of tumors.
