Description:
1-Benzylazepan-3-one is a synthetic dye that has an anionic structure. It is a nutrient for fungi and has a strong affinity with extracellular materials such as laminating and surfactants. 1-Benzylazepan-3-one can be used as a colorant in chemical reactions. When heated, it changes reversibly from white to yellow due to the condensation of its double bonds. This heterocycle also has optical properties that are reversible; when exposed to light, it will turn purple.
