Description

1-Cyclopentyl-N-[(4,6-dimethyl-2-oxo-1H-pyridin-3-yl)methyl]-6-[4-(morpholin-4-ylmethyl)phenyl]indazole-4-carboxamide is a novel drug for the treatment of cancer. It binds to the tumor and releases a radiopharmaceutical agent that accumulates in the tumor. The drug is injected into the bloodstream, which directs it to the tumor. The 1CPCI can be detected by an antenna, which is placed on top of or near the tumor. The device detects when 1CPCI is in proximity with the antenna and sends data to a computer that calculates a trajectory (directional information). This trajectory can then be used to guide surgery.
