Product Information

Name:
2-Chloro-4-(N-cyclopentylaminomethyl)phenylboronic acid, pinacol ester
Description:

The termini of the molecule are comprised of a 2-chloro-4-(N-cyclopentylaminomethyl)phenylboronic acid pinacol ester. The molecule is expressed in Indian female neuronal cells and has been shown to be involved with the transport of an endogenous acidic compound in axons. The molecule also interacts with the membrane at the extracellular surface, which is mediated by interactions with a variety of proteins including voltage-gated potassium channels, acid transporters, and neural cell adhesion molecules. This interaction may help to orientate the molecule and/or provide stability. Molecular modeling studies have shown that this molecule has similarities to other compounds in its class such as 2-chloro-4-(N-cyclopentylaminomethyl)phenylboronic acid, pinacol ester.
