Description:
DLinDMA is a lipids molecule that has ester linkages. DLinDMA is a lipid with a molecular diameter of 6.0 nm and an average hydrodynamic diameter of 8.0 nm. It is a spherical, monomeric compound that has been found to have low potency in vitro against prostate cancer cells with no significant cytotoxic or apoptotic effects on normal prostate epithelial cells. DLinDMA has shown safety in animal studies and has low toxicity in vitro. In vivo studies are ongoing to determine the safety profile and potential efficacy of this drug for treatment of infectious diseases, such as HIV and hepatitis B, as well as cancer.
