Product Information
3-Fluoro-4-[(trimethylsilyl)ethynyl]aniline is a diazide that can be synthesized from an imidazole and an alkyne. The molecule has a stepwise mechanism with the addition of the trimethylsilyl group to the imidazole, followed by boronic acid formation to give a boronate ester. This compound reacts with oxalyl chloride to form 3-fluoro-4-[(trimethylsilyl)ethynyl]aniline dihydrochloride, which is soluble in organic solvents and shows no obsessions or solvent effects.
3-Fluoro-4-[(trimethylsilyl)ethynyl]aniline can be used as a starting material for diazo compounds that are used in neuropsychiatric disorders.
