[Trans-3-aminocyclohexyl]methanol is a chiral amino alcohol that is an anti-inflammatory agent. It has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandin E2 and the formation of leukotrienes through inhibition of the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin endoperoxide, which are important mediators in inflammation. [Trans-3-aminocyclohexyl]methanol has been studied for clinical use in humans, but there is not enough information available at this time to determine its effectiveness or safety as a therapeutic drug.
