Description:

(S)-3-(4-Aminophenyl)-2-methoxypropanoic acid is a stereoisomer of 3-aminobenzoic acid, which is a precursor of salicylic acid. (S)-3-(4-Aminophenyl)-2-methoxypropanoic acid has been shown to activate the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor γ (PPARγ), and this activation leads to β-catenin accumulation and regulation of adipose tissue growth. This compound also has been shown to have therapeutic effects on metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes by regulating lipid metabolism. The compound also inhibits inflammatory diseases such as bowel disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
