CDC25 phosphatase inhibitor I is a synthetic small molecule that inhibits the enzyme CDC25 phosphatase, which regulates the mitochondrial membrane potential and transcriptional regulation. The drug was shown to inhibit tumor growth in colorectal adenocarcinoma cell lines and carcinoma cells. It also inhibits infectious diseases by inhibiting metabolic disorders and has been used as an adjuvant therapy for many different types of cancer. CDC25 phosphatase inhibitor I is also active against monoclonal antibody-resistant malignant brain tumors.
