(1R,2R)-2-(Anthracene-2,3-dicarboximido)cyclohexanecarboxylic Acid is a lipase inhibitor that is used to study the function of lipases. The compound inhibits lipase activity by binding to the active site of the enzyme and preventing it from breaking down fats. (1R,2R)-2-(Anthracene-2,3-dicarboximido)cyclohexanecarboxylic Acid has also been shown to inhibit cyclohexane carboxylase in vitro. This inhibition prevents the formation of citronellal and enantiomers that are commonly found in essential oils. (1R,2R)-2-(Anthracene-2,3-dicarboximido)cyclohexanecarboxylic Acid has been used as a model for studying stereoisomerism. It was first synthesized in 1968
