Radiprodil is a drug that belongs to the group of antidepressants and is used to treat neuropathic pain. Radiprodil has been shown to have antidepressant effects in animals by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine into nerve cells. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. Radiprodil inhibits the binding of ligands to glutamate receptors, which are found in the brain and central nervous system. It also prevents protein synthesis by blocking the production of fatty acids from carbohydrates in the liver.
