3,5-Dimethoxybenzamide (DMBA) is a molecule that has been shown to inhibit the activity of DNA polymerase. DMBA has been studied in both in vitro and in vivo models for the treatment of metastatic pancreatic cancer. DMBA has also been shown to inhibit multiple cell signaling pathways, including growth factor signaling, and skeletal elements. DMBA inhibits glucose metabolism and energy production, which may be useful for treating cancers that feed off of these metabolic pathways.
