Product Information
DMU2139 is a novel chalcone drug that is in preclinical development. It has been shown to be potently effective against cancer cells. DMU2139 is able to inhibit the activity of cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19), which is involved in the metabolism of many drugs. DMU2139 also inhibits the production of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), which regulates the opening and closing of ion channels in cells, leading to a decrease in calcium ions entering cells and an increase in potassium ions exiting cells. These effects are seen at low concentrations, making it an attractive candidate for treating glaucoma and high blood pressure.
