Product Information
(S)-2-(2-Pyrrolidinyl)-pyridine is a chiral molecule that has two stereogenic centers in the pyridine ring. It can exist as four isomers, which have different yields depending on the reaction conditions. The stereochemical nature of (S)-2-(2-Pyrrolidinyl)-pyridine is determined by the relative orientation of its two substituents on the pyridine ring. The compound's stereochemical configuration can be changed by rotating one of its substituents around the pyridine ring. For example, if one substituent was rotated 180°, it would change from being an R-stereoisomer to being a S-stereoisomer. Nicotine and other molecules with chiral centers also have this property.
