5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)porphyrin is a molecule with the chemical formula C 30 H 14 N 4 Fe 3 BN. It has been shown to be a superparamagnetic iron oxide and boron nitride nanocomposite that can be used in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles in this material form a stable nanocomposite at room temperature that does not require any additional stabilizers. This material is also chemically stable and has been found to be safe for use in humans. In addition, it has been shown to have excellent biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity.
