Product Information
9-Iodoanthracene is an aromatic compound with a planar molecular geometry. It can be synthesized by the reaction of sodium trifluoroacetate with 9-iodoanthracene. 9-Iodoanthracene has been shown to react electrochemically with palladium complexes and undergo cross-coupling reactions. The activation energy for its reaction with sodium trifluoroacetate is found to be 29.2 kcal/mol, which is quite high. The compound has a planar molecular geometry and reacts thermally and chemically with hydrogen bonds and steric interactions. 9-Iodoanthracene also fluoresces at 569 nm when irradiated by light in the vacuum ultraviolet region.
